regions, it is free, new, modern, sophisticated but quite simple and it
does meet very well the modern tendencies of many who appreciate art.
The material is ever changing but mostly attractive, of good quality, and
even often really precious, and it constantly evolves, art is carved out
of stone, wood, weaved out of basketry, wielded with metal, it
flourishes through bright colors in paintings, and even in little
bracelets and necklaces. The material is as important as
the work, a beautiful wood or a fascinating stone will clearly add to
the delight of handling any object.
The
work & the talent which bring a piece together are the other
elements which make Southern African art a very special world, and it is
no accident that more and more art from Zambia, Zimbabwe & Namibia
is being sought after from other continents. Creativity in these
countries is everywhere, on the streets, in the villages, in the big
cities and every day new styles & new types of expression are
